American Anarchy Vol. 1

It started a College Thesis Project that evolved into a year long production. Inspired by Ralph Bakshi and Marjane Satrapi and their subsequent animated films “American Pop” and “Persepolis” I set about studying and learning to animate my own films to take an old technique to create an action drama story set in Post-Post Apocalyptic Utah. Becoming both an experiment and learning experience in the production of a rotoscope animated production and style.

Following up in 2020 is Volume 1 in the series set in the same universe. Advancing techniques and budget to further push the vision and story ability with updated looks. Using 3D and 2D motion graphics to advance the world and details in the animation and setting. Vol 1 follows a couple looking to escape their town with the assistance of a local gang that escalates into a confrontation within a diner.
